Chris Hodges
Before Arriving in Canada, Chris spent 14 years at Professional Soccer club Leicester City in England. Chris played a major role in setting up soccer camps, coaching in schools and recruiting players into the clubs academy structure. Chris was also responsible for their “Football in the Community Programme”
During his time at Leicester City, Chris won various awards for the ‘Community Programme’ as it was deemed well organized, safe, structured and very community minded, so much so, the model soon became a standard for other professional clubs when they set up similar initiatives.
Gary Drake
Gary left school in 2002 to pursue a promising career as a professional footballer with Sheffield United, unfortunately his opportunity was cut short when suffering a double fracture on his shin and a dislocated ankle. After 2 years of physiotherapy and Rehabilitation he was building a promising amateur soccer career with Holwell Sports FC, where he scored the winning goal in the FA Vase. Sadly lightening struck twice as Gary suffered yet another broken leg.
Since his recovery Gary has devoted all his soccer knowledge into coaching youngsters and has been a member of the award winning Leicester City Football club in the community coaching program and worked in their academy.
He then moved to Canada to work for the Ian Marshall Soccer Academy, where he has help set up After School Soccer Programs, week long soccer camps and International Tours.
Ben Mawson
Having turned to coaching at a young age Ben started his coaching career at Local boys team Edlington White Stars before moving to Rotherham United at the age of 16. Whilst studying for Level 1 and Level 2 Ben built up experience working with ex pros and professional coaches at Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Doncaster Rovers in July 2005. Having worked with players aged 13-16 Ben completed his UEFA B in July 2006 and FA Youth Coaches award in 2007 before moving to Derby County in October 2008. Having been offered a full time position Ben left Derby county to take a role as Football Academy Director at Balby Academy of Sport where he is now Director of sport for all Academies on a full time basis.
In March 2010 Ben successfully guided Balby Academy to the National FA Cup Final at Madejski Stadium, Reading and was crowned champions of England before completing an unpresidented treble in his first year in charge.
In July 2009 Ben was appointed Assistant coach of England College Under 19 Women and has currently competed against the national teams of Austrailia, Wales, Estonia and Finland with an unbeaten record.
In addition Ben is Director of South Yorkshire schools football and Head coach of the Mens U19's.
Ben is also a FA qualified Tutor/Assessor and head of youth development for Doncaster Belles.
Adam Martin
Adam works for Leicester City FC with both the community and football academy, not only does he have his Uefa B Coaching badge but he is also a fully qualified Goalkeeping coach.
Matthew Willcocks
Matthew spent 4 years coaching and playing soccer in New York before moving back to England to work for Leicester City in the Community, working in schools as well as coaching in the Academy.
Leroy Moore
Leroy has worked for Leicester City in the community for the past 10 years although spends the majority of his time nowadays concentrating on Leicester city’s bright young prospects coaching in the academy
Ian Harrison
Ian has worked in the community for the last 6 years coaching both boys and girls Center of Excellence teams as well as going into schools coaching children.
Harry White
Harry works for Leicester City FC in the Community as well as Teaching Physical education at Riverside School, Harry is Fully Qualified in Speed Agility and Quickness which brings more variety and knowledge to the Ian Marshall Soccer Academy Coaching Team
